Binder Park Zoo is one of the largest zoos in Michigan. It covers 433 acres of land and accommodates around 600 animals belonging to 140 species.
Binder Park Zoo was founded in the ’60s by the members of the Battle Creek Jaycees, Jaycees Auxiliary, and the Battle Creek Kiwanis Club. The original plan was to build a children’s zoo in the Battle Creek. However, it was only in August 1975 that the name Binder Park Zoo has come up. In the state of Michigan, Binder Zoo was ranked as the ninth largest cultural attraction. The zoo’s mission is to nurture empathy, understanding, and conservation of nature. Indeed, it is a great experience to visit the zoo with the thought that every dollar you pay will go to the conservation of the animals. Visiting the zoo with Binder Park Zoo Coupons will make it a very worthwhile visit.
The zoo features 32 exhibits displaying rare and exotic animals and 19 exhibits featuring domestic animals. Aside from these exhibits, the zoo also has education programs which are designed to create fun and educational experiences for individuals and groups aged 18 months old and up. Included in the program are overnight stay, camping, and other interactive activities which will help participants become more aware about animal conservation.
